REGENT builds electric seagliders — wing-in-ground-effect vehicles that operate from existing docks and cruise over the water at up to 180 mph, with zero direct emissions. Its twelve-passenger Viceroy opens fast, low-cost coastal routes, while the uncrewed Squire carries cargo and supports defense logistics.
In 2026 the company completed the world’s first seaglider factory — a 255,000-square-foot facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island — against an order book already measured in the billions.
Why we backed them
Regent is a clean expression of our mobility thesis: a new category that reaches where roads, runways, and traditional infrastructure can’t — and does it on all-electric, zero-emission propulsion. It pairs commercial pull with defense relevance, exactly the dual-use profile we look for.
With a U.S. Marine Corps Warfighting Lab agreement and crewed sea trials underway, Regent is turning a bold idea into operating hardware — led by a team out of the modern aerospace world that went from clean-sheet design to a built factory and crewed trials in just a few years.
